Icebreaker Mackinaw at Work in the Soo Today

Sault Ste. Marie locks will open March 25 for the 2007 Great Lakes shipping season. According to the sooeveningnews.com , the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw will breakout lower river channels of the St. Mary's today and the upper St. Mary's and Lake Superior tomorrow.
